The Queens personal treasures for sale

The Queens personal treasures for sale.

At a time of the sad loss of the longest serving Queen of the British Empire, Queen Elizabeth II, the Ching Dynasty Collection offers for sale the treasured personal possessions of the longest serving Queen Consort of the British Royal Family.

Queen Charlotte – Queen Consort to George III.

These priceless and unique mothers of pearl gaming counters were part of a set of 140 commissioned by King George III for the Queen in 1780. Hand carved on both sides they were used on countless evenings playing cards in the Queens chambers, according to her diaries, until her death on November 17 1818.

As hard as it is to perceive these treasured personal items were sent to auction by her son the then Prince of Wales and sold by Christies on May 7 1819, even though the King was still alive not passing until 29th of January 1820 at which time: the Prince of Wales ascended to the throne becoming King George IV.

Other pieces of the set were reacquired by the Royal Collection Trust and are on display at St James’s Palace London.

The opportunity presented here by the Ching Dynasty Collection is to own a truly unique piece of British Royal Family history.
