Four days had passed since the barbarian ship had arrived in the harbour.
Footsteps on the crushed stone of his siheyuan told him of visitors. Sliding back the flimsy screen. his spirits lifted.

{“Greetings Bohai, this is an emissary from a land far away. He has a commission for you.”}

{“Greetings and welcome to my humble home.”} Bohai replied.

“Can you ask him if he can achieve perfection?” asked the elegantly dressed stranger.
