I wish you were here Marie!
There were no words that Melanie had left to tell Marie Antoinette; how her life had changed since they had met.
Marie could see the last 230 years as clearly today as they were in 1789. Marie was lost in time and lost in space for so long, but Melanie was lost in today.
Melanie reached into her soul for words to express how she felt in her loneliness.
Listening to the sounds of today; Marie came to her and again the tears flowed together as they held each other.
How I wish you were here!
Marie Antoinette heard the words as clearly now; as she had always.
Pleurez, mais n’oubliez jamais notre lien. Marie whispered
{“Cry, but don’t ever forget our bond.”} Marie whispered

{So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell
Blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
Did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
And how we found
The same old fears
Wish you were here}
