The Autumn winds of my heart.
As the autumn leaves fell from the trees in Central Park Melanie grew more morose.
Marie Antoinette seemed so far away.
“Où es-tu soeur?” Melanie asked
{“Where are you sister?”} Melanie asked
She sat, as in many days gone bye waiting to hear Marie speak to her once more.
A sound of silence fell over her as she asked the question.
Reaching for the pendant she placed it carefully around her neck. The gold inlay glistened in the failing light.
“Je vais dormir ma soeur pour que tu puisses venir à moi une fois de plus.”
{“I will sleep my sister so that you can come to me once more.”}
As she drifted into blissful dreams a solitary tear rolled down her cheek; Marie kissed her as she had done on their wedding day in 1789.
“Dors ma soeur; Même si nous sommes séparés, je resterai toujours dans ton cœur comme tu habites dans le mien.” Marie comforted in a gentle whisper.
{“Sleep my sister; even though we are apart, I will always remain in your heart as you dwell in mine.”} Marie comforted in a gentle whisper.
