The soothing light of White
They had sobbed together all day on the news of the passing of James’s mother.
“I feel like Louis’s words that; ‘It was not the end or even the beginning; it was a continuum;’ are how we are meant to deal with this Mel, but my heart is still breaking knowing we’ll never see her again.” James sighed
He held her close as they slipped into sleep.
Feeling Melanie’s pain, her sister visited her.
“Mélanie” Marie whispered
{“Melanie” Marie whispered}
{“You have not experienced death, or met someone who has; except for me. Let me tell you what I know.
When Louis was taken from me after we were imprisoned in the Temple Tower in August of 1792, I did not know of his fate. Our jailors gave us no news to comfort us. I remember waking with relief after he passed in January.
When Louis came to me after he passed, he told me not to be concerned with death. There is white in the light, he said, where no time exists and no concerns are felt.
Until my time came his words comforted me and I was at piece knowing as he had told me ‘It was not the end or even a beginning, it was a continuum’
Fear not my sister, one day you will understand the continuum of life.”}
