Single perfect bloom
Studying the Queen’s coat of arms, Bohai knew this was to become the most important celebration of his art.
Once completed his creations would sit in the hands of the Queen of Great Britain.
The Queen’s emissary had supplied enough silver to provide for his family and on completion of his commission he would receive an additional payment to secure them well after Bohai’s days had passed.
Sitting alone to meditate in the courtyard outside their siheyuan he gave a whispered blessing.
可以送禮物。
收到了祝福。
敞開心heart,讓我在其中釋放自由。
{“A gift can be given.
A blessing received.
Open my heart so that I may set free a universe of vision resting within.”}
Bohai’s eyes closed
His pulse slowed
His breathing shallowed
Tranquillity flowed
And as the glow of understanding began to wash through him, his transition to a higher plain of consciousness opened to where he was one with everything pure.
The flow of his consciousness was as with the drifting of blossom around him.
Awakening, a single perfect bloom rested in his open hand.
The vision was clear; these will surround the Queen on the pieces he would create.
His universal blessing had been received.
Bohai smiled.
