Unknown life
Bohai reflected on the legacy he now knew would outlive him.
It would be the survival of his unknown life.
James and Melanie had shown him that his artistry would live on well into the future. His hand carving of the Queen’s pieces would still exist 255 years into the future in the year 2020 and beyond.
He gazed at the painting on the wall of his humble siheyuan.
Closing his eyes to meditate his request to the ancients was given.
“請注意; 我的內心和靈魂正在與那些年復一年的藝術家的未知生活去拜訪,以了解他們的智慧和激情。”
{“Take my mind; my heart and soul on a journey to visit with the unknown lives of the artists of years gone by, to know their wisdom and passions”} he asked.
Slipping silently into meditation the wisdom of the ancients filled his senses as he drifted through the ages.
The words of the poets and philosophers, the palate of the painter and the music of the angels were given; all was revealed without payment.
The poet’s words of love, passion, hurt, grief, were now as real as if spoken directly to him.
The philosopher’s wisdom, understanding, insights were exposed.
The painters brush strokes giving life to images to be preserved from a single moment in time to live forever, flowed over him.
The resonance of a single note hung in the air, waiting for the artist to join it with the next creation of a symphony in a journey to immortality filled his senses.
As the gentle breeze drifted over him and the candles flickered Chunhau blessed the night adding her gift to the immortality of the artists single note.
