Our master jewelers have set this simple stunning pendant in 18k solid gold to become a unique treasure which is simply breathtaking. Its intricately hand engraved detail mesmerizes with wonder. The versatility of the handmade gold setting design, allows this centerpiece of historic significance to be worn and displayed both sides.
The central hand carved jewel unlike any other in exquisite mother of pearl, depicts a uniquely carved and unbelievably detailed scene of four people from an era of tranquility in a village, garden and pergola scene. The outer floral border is also intricately carved and is simply stunning. Words and superlatives are insufficient to describe the striking detail achieved by its artist.
The other side is equally incredible in its attention to aesthetically pleasing detail in the outer rings surrounding the very fine back hatching around the monogram – initials MAP of the nobleman who must have commissioned this piece to be handmade, circa 1810 in Canton during the last Dynasty of Imperial China.
Drawn into an era of perfection by the artistry of 200-year-old craftsmanship that we could not replicate, this jewel of singular beauty will rightfully become an unrivaled investment and heirloom to delight for generations.
A truly unique jewel.
